Dixie Lin

Sold - Thank you.

Dixie Lin is an Original One of a Kind art doll created by Ellen Harris. No molds were used in making any part of her.
She stands 17.5" tall. Her head with attached shoulder plate, arms and legs were directly sculpted of
Creative Paperclay. Her arms are sculpted just past her wrists and are in that "pick me up" postion. She can easily hold a small bouquet of dried flowers, a favorite light ornament or a tiny stringed puppet. Her lower legs and sneakers are detailed with lace holes and tongue flaps. The laces are real, attached as if laced through the holes and the tops can be tied in bows. Dixie stands by herself, without the need for a doll stand. And her left arm will pose upwards, when braced on the back of her ear as seen in the hatless close-up photo.
Her eyes are hand sculpted and hand painted. Dixie Lin's body is made of stuffed fabric over a supportive armature. Her hair is delicately applied bits of copper colored fur - all wispy like a very young child's. Her skin, features and sneakers are painted with artist colors protected by layers of resin sealer coating and have that special painted quality of rich texture, brush strokes and the odd thumbprint of the artist here and there. She is signed and dated on the back of her shoulder plate.

Dixie's clothes are designed and handmade by the artist. She is wearing a playdress set with matching cuffed pants. Her perky hat is adorned with ribbon and a flower. These are completely removable.
